Work History

Estimator

Avoda Construction
05.2025 - Current

Here at Avoda Construction I worked as a commercial/residential estimator. Using the programs such as contractors cloud, proest, company cam, and building connected. Would bid projects on all scales including small tilt ups to residential or large scale systems. Very proficient in TPO, coatings, tile, shingle, metal, gutter and downspout systems, etc. Also would do re-roofs or re-covers on existing buildings.

  • Collaborated with project managers to develop comprehensive bid proposals, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
  • Reviewed blueprints and site plans to assess project feasibility and identify potential challenges in execution.
  • Used specialized software to create estimates quickly and accurately and make estimates easily understandable and shareable.
  • Calculated labor hours accurately based on trade-specific productivity rates, leading to more realistic project timelines and work plans.

Estimator

D-7 Roofing
01.2024 - 04.2025
  • I started at D-7 Roofing in the very beginning of the year of 2024, and this was my first job doing strictly just an estimator role and not so much field based work
  • I started out as a strictly residential/tract estimating role, where I bid mainly standing seam, shingles, tile, Mod-bit, and foam roofs with a program called on screen takeoff and quickbid. I then transferred to a stricly commercial estimating role, where I would bid commercial, tilts, some multi families, etc. I am mainly bidding with TPO, EPDM, Coping/Parapet cap, foam, etc.
  • I would do the whole process of looking through the plan sets/blueprints and creating a bid as well as doing the pricing for the job. Often times I would have to have constant communications with GC's, architects, etc to make sure we are bidding everything to their spec as well as giving them other options (VE's). I would also be working with subs, in house crews on margins or per SQ rates depending on jobs and seeing what we could do to make everyone satisfied.
  • Over the last year I have become very proficient and confident in the programs on screen takeoff and quickbid.
  • I enjoy the role of being an estimator because of how much experience I have in the field from the recent years of being a foreman/project manger. It is something new but also something I feel like I have picked up extremely quick.

Roofing Foreman

Reimagine Roofing
01.2022 - 01.2024
  • At Reimagine Roofing I started out as a project manager overseeing the installs of full re roofs
  • I would bring materials to crews, do progress reports, talk to HO's daily and really just make sure the job would get done as fast as possible, but also efficiently
  • I later moved on from doing project managing and stepped into the role of running a service department of 4-6 people
  • Not only did I perform or assist in most of the repairs, I created the estimates, scheduled the work with homeowners, etc
  • As I was doing this, I started transitioning to do full re roofs with myself and only 2-3 others
  • Here we did full re roofs/repairs with tile, shingle, foam, metal, and some BUR

Roofing Foreman

Starkweather Roofing
09.2020 - 12.2021
  • While I was at Starkweather Roofing, I started out as a foreman in the service department
  • Here we performed leak repairs on both commercial and residential roof systems that included TPO, BUR, tile, foam, shingle, etc
  • We performed general maintenance along with the repairs
  • As a foreman you had to complete 3-5 jobs a day, report with pictures, as well as talk to property managers/homeowners and make data reports

Crew Lead

SF Roofing
05.2020 - 09.2020
  • I started out at SF Roofing as a 2nd man/journeyman on a crew of 4-6 guys
  • We were doing full re roofs on mainly tile and some shingle roofs
  • Promoted quickly to a crew lead, making sure jobs were done proficiently and quick
  • This company ended up closing down during covid and mostly everyone was let go

Laborer

Roofing Southwest
09.2018 - 05.2020
  • My first roofing job was here at Roofing Southwest starting in 2018, I started out in the tile departments where we did both commercial and residential as a laborer
  • I was there learning the very basics as far as tear offs, dry in, installing tile/baton systems, etc
  • I was in that department for about 8-9 months, I was transferred to the service department where I learned a lot more about different systems
  • Learned about shingle, BUR, TPO, foam, etc
  • Was trained on how to find and locate leaks on various systems as well as doing small scale repairs -1-5 SQ's to fix those problems
