In this role I aim to achieve the center’s vision of moving “towards a healthy and safe society” by leading the initiatives and programs of preventing disease, prolonging life in good health, and promoting healthy living among the citizens and residents of Abu Dhabi across all its populations. This also includes contributing to emergency response operations related to epidemics, infectious diseases, disasters, and crises.

• Launched the Abu Dhabi health sector's first-ever Disease Registries (12), delivering consistent and trusted "sources of truth" for the most common diseases affecting the Abu Dhabi population. including disease prevalence rates, patient demographics, financial spend, and other critical health information for informed decision-making
• Spearheaded the digital Capacity Master Plan, enhancing capacity planning capabilities for the Abu Dhabi health sector across healthcare facilities & workforce, medical equipment & supplies, drugs, and investment & funding decisions
• Designed and executed the health sector's first-ever Policy Lab at DOH, a multi-stakeholder collaborative platform solving critical healthcare challenges through effective policies

• In partnership with the DOH, set Abu Dhabi’s health agenda via the Health Foundational Strategy and Annual Strategic Plan, encompassing health sector priorities, special projects & initiatives, key performance indicators, and economic contribution
• Ensured effective implementation of initiatives, policies, regulations, and standards across health-related government and private entities via performance monitoring and continuous improvement efforts
• Enabled and leveraged strategic partnerships local, federal, and international stakeholders to enable the achievement of health programs, goals, and aspirations

Provided advisory to key health sector stakeholders and Abu Dhabi government leaders, leveraging specialist expertise and experience to:

• Deliver improved population health outcomes through management and prevention of prevalent, chronic diseases
• Drive care excellence amongst healthcare providers via disease-focused models of care with quality outcomes at the centre
• Hard-wire sustainable health funding & financing models in parallel with robust governance of the health sector

• Implemented strategies, directed operations, and achieved financial targets related to the business functions and patient care activities in the Medical Operations function, spanning all levels & settings of care
• Directly responsible for 200+ staff and an operating budget of over AED120Mn

• Set and executed the strategy of rehabilitation services across the organization spanning IP, post-acute, OP, and long-term care settings
• Direct oversight of all clinical, financial (P&L Responsibility), and operational activities, encompassing managerial, clinical and admin staff, and clinical facilities

• Established and operationalized the scope of services of a new and fully functioning rehabilitation department from its absolute beginning
• Executed and complied with policies regarding patient admission, care and records to maintain standards of excellence for patients and families
