Alaina Budinger has a love for the performing arts. She has danced and performed for more than 7 years. She has competed in team dance competitions and has helped her team achieve a high level of excellence evidenced by the awards they have earned on the local, state and national levels. She has sung and competed with her school's choir. As well as performing in 5 of her school's highly acclaimed musicals. One of which earned first place in the Arizona State University Gammage Awards. She has been a leader in many capacities with the youth throughout her life in the church. She is currently serving as YW's class president, Seminary class president, along with being a youth councilor in the Church's SNAP program.
Demonstrates advanced ballroom techniques for the waltz, tango, slow foxtrot, salsa, quickstep, and East Coast swing.
Responsible for calling the class to order. Also, assigns class members to say prayers and give spiritual thoughts. She also selects the hymn that the class will sing at the beginning of each class period.
Has the privilege of attending these events each week to have fun with, and sing and dance with our Special Needs Brothers and Sisters. Becoming friends with them has been the highlight of the weeks.
Highest Level Choir offered at the high school level. Choir performances include complex vocals and choreography. Received the highest rating a choir can achieve in the state of AZ. Performed at various venues such as Disneyland and a California Choral Competition where they were awarded the highest ranking.
Participated in Planning, coordinating, and executing various class activities as well as with other classes and quorums. Worked with the bishop of the ward as well as with adult leaders to perform outreach to the YW in her class both active and less active. Responsible for teaching Come Follow Me lessons as well as participate in class, Gospel discussions.

The Semper Sursum Award is given to recognize students who go above and beyond and contribute to their schools service, participation, and values.
Achieved this award through a highly accelerated effort due to the program being replaced within a year of entering the YW program. Resiliency and persistent drive enabled the acquisition of the medallion which was completed in just one year. Learned principles of self worth and participated in and planned various service opportunities.
