  • Perform tasks with precision and accuracy, paying close attention to detail when processing prescriptions, managing inventory, and performing other pharmacy duties.
  • Accurately interprets and correctly processes prescriptions across all areas of the cmop, ensuring the proper medication, dosage, and instructions are provided for each patient. Double-checks prescription details for accuracy. Maintain a high level of attention to detail to prevent errors and ensures proper medication labeling and packaging.
  • Label medication bottles based on their order number. Scan the bottle to retrieve the label, then verify that the order number matches the one on the computer screen. Apply the label to the bottle, ensuring the medication name and NDC number are clearly visible, while maintaining a focus on patient safety.
  • Operate the A-frame ensuring that the lanes are accurately labeled with the correct tags to prevent medications from being misplaced. Efficiently and precisely fill the medications, preparing them for placement in totes. Manually tape medications as needed to ensure they fit properly in the line, helping to avoid lane jams. Regularly clean and maintain the lanes, removing debris, and ensuring smooth operation without disruptions to keep the workflow running efficiently.
  • Replenish canisters with the correct medication by retrieving the required medication from the vertical lift module. Verify that the drug name and NDC number on the bottle match the canister and correspond with the information displayed on the computer screen.
  • Adhere to written instructions when handling hazardous materials, following strict aseptic techniques to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory standards. Maintain proper protective equipment (PPE) and use specialized containment procedures to minimize exposure to harmful substances. Ensure all safety protocols are observed, including proper labeling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials, to protect both personnel and the environment. Continuously monitor and assess work areas to maintain a sterile environment and prevent cross-contamination.
  • Follow established cleaning protocols and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling hazardous medications to ensure safety and compliance. Regularly sanitize work areas to prevent contamination, properly dispose of waste materials, and maintain a clean environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and management in the logistics department to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of medications. Upon receiving supplies, inspect medications for accuracy, verifying quantities, expiration dates, and ensuring they match the order. Separate the medications by lot numbers to maintain proper organization and traceability. Once this is completed, log the medications into the pharmacy software system and replenish them into their designated storage locations, ensuring optimal inventory management and compliance with safety standards. Additionally, monitor storage conditions to guarantee that medications are kept in appropriate environments, such as temperature-controlled areas, to maintain their efficacy. Rotate stock using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) to ensure older stock is used first and minimize the risk of expired medications. Participate in regular inventory audits to ensure the accuracy of records and address any discrepancies promptly. By maintaining clear communication with the team, we ensure that all medications are accessible, organized, and ready for dispensing when needed.
  • Repackages bulk pharmaceuticals by transferring medications or other dosage forms from larger containers into smaller, patient-specific quantities. This process involves verifying the correct medication, accurately counting or measuring the required amount, labeling containers with precise information, and ensuring proper storage conditions. The aim is to maintain accuracy, minimize contamination, and ensure regulatory compliance while preparing medications for patient use
  • Ensure that vial labelers are functioning correctly by regularly checking their operation and performing routine maintenance. Replace labels as needed and feed vials into the machine to maintain continuous operation without interruptions. Troubleshoot minor issues and ensure the machine is running efficiently. If any technical problems arise, promptly escalate the issue to engineering or IT for swift resolution. Monitor the labeling process to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards, and maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent any disruptions.
  • Perform various production tasks, including automated dispensing systems like Innovation robots. This includes filling the cells with the correct medication and ensuring that no tablets are broken. Upon receiving a prescription, the robotic arm scans the barcode to identify the correct medication, retrieves it, and accurately counts the required number of pills for the order.
  • Actively trained team members across various departments, ensuring they acquired a comprehensive understanding of processes and skills in multiple operational areas. Provided ongoing guidance and support to help them improve performance, enhance efficiency, and grasp essential tasks. Fostered a positive and collaborative learning environment by offering constructive feedback, hands-on assistance, and encouragement. Promoted continuous learning and development to boost team morale and overall productivity, ensuring that team members had the tools and resources they needed to excel in their roles and contribute to the organization’s success.
