Amy Vangellow is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. In 2005, she joined what would become the power trio Peppermint James. The band was both a professional original and cover band; touring the state of Arizona full-time, and traveling to California to record.
Having experienced a broad range of opportunities, from corporate and private performances, to festivals and opening for the likes of The Wailers, Blues Traveler, Huey Lewis
and the News, and Berlin (to name a few), Amy was able to hone her skills as a performer.
Amy had the opportunity to showcase her music in LA for Simon Katz of Republic Records after Peppermint James dissolved. He told her that he felt she had a lot to say and that, "people will love you once they find you."
After the band parted ways in 2018, Amy was sought out and hired as a private music instructor. At that time, Amy was the only female in the state of Arizona providing instruction
on bass guitar, vocals, acoustic guitar, and piano, along with guidance and training for performance, and recommendations for instrument and equipment selection. She went on to teach in music studios and continues to teach privately.
