2012-2013 - Family Resource Center Coordinator: Opened the first family resource center in PVUSD in 2012 under a grant offered through First Things First for children birth to five. I collaborated with community partners like Southwest Human Development, the Phoenix Zoo, the Phoenix Public Library and Healthy Plate to offer free programs to youth, parents, guardians and caretakers. Families could go home with knowledge from exciting workshops and free items like car seats and school readiness kits. We kept a registry to identify the needs of the families, which we could pull from later to inform them of upcoming events.
