Promote and participate in various events including Kids Day, Open Doors and Children's Learning and Play Festival. Facilitate and co-facilitate professional development trainings for educators, assist with the assembly of materials for summer camps/programs, and various other jobs as needed. I inform parents, guardians and caregivers about Lantern, formerly Bright by Text, which provides information on upcoming community events, alerts by child's due date or birthday, and helpful tips.

2008-2012 - Program Coordinator: Coordinated before school, after school and summer academic and enrichment programs for a K-6 Title I school through 21st CCLC funds. Duties included creating classes and programs, supervising and communicating with a staff of 60 employees/teachers in the programs, submitting payroll, planning field trips, communicating with transportation and parents/guardians during the school year and in summer,

2012-2013 - Family Resource Center Coordinator: Opened the first family resource center in PVUSD in 2012 under a grant offered through First Things First for children birth to five. I collaborated with community partners like Southwest Human Development, the Phoenix Zoo, the Phoenix Public Library and Healthy Plate to offer free programs to youth, parents, guardians and caretakers. Families could go home with knowledge from exciting workshops and free items like car seats and school readiness kits. We kept a registry to identify the needs of the families, which we could pull from later to inform them of upcoming events.

2020-2023 - K-8 Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Counselor: Holding small groups to teach SEL, self regulation, responsible decision making, building positive relationship, self and social awareness, and study skills.

2023-2024 - Title I High School Instructional Coach: Supported new and seasoned teachers with curriculum and behavioral needs of students. Met weekly with the principal and administration monitoring interventions. Led the MTSS program to ensure all student's need were met, and regularly met with teachers and parents/guardians to stay aligned with these needs. I also led the Response to Intervention (RTI), promoting safety, accountability and respect on campus. I ran the RTI store, where students could exchange their school bucks for prizes and treats.

Coordinated youth and family programs by surveying the needs of the community and center, and collaborating with community partners to offer programs and events like Parents' Night Out, Healthy Kids Day, Furry Friends Frenzy and Paint with Pals for children birth to twelve years of age and their families.

1999-2002: Taught the late 3 year old and early 4 year old preschool class, teaching students number and letter recognition, fine motor skills, managing emotions, and promoting kindness

2002-2004: Assisted the director and owner of the preschool by opening and closing the center, being a part of the hiring process for teachers and aids, ordering supplies and materials for the center and classrooms, coordinating with community partners to visit the center for enrichment opportunities, and created a monthly newsletter for parents and guardians.
