SOCAR HAOR Modernization & Reconstruction Project
For phase I of the project: Responsible for the safe, efficient and optimal commissioning/startup of following units:
Sour Water Stripper-SWS
Sulphur Recovery Unit-SRU
LPG Storage
MTBE production
C4 Hydrogenation
Pre-commissioning/Commissioning and Start-up phases of the refinery including:
Participating in cleaning activities (air blowing, blasting, water flushing, mechanical cleaning, hydro jetting of process pipelines) and solving technical problems arising;
Checking field during reinstatement and walkdown and preparing relevant punch lists;
Participating in steam network preparation and target blowing;
Doing P&ID check;
Following box-up and preservation of equipment;
Coordinating leak / service test, inerting and drying activities;
Took part in instrument loop and Interlock functional checks;
Prepared subsection P&ID Diagrams and writing procedures of start-up, shutdown and normal operation for above mentioned units;
Delivering trainings about unit operation, control narrative, equipment working principle, transmitters, pumps, PSV types and key interlock system;
Made advancements in DCS screens to create control schemes easy to follow;
Reviewing commissioning procedures and markedup P&IDs and coordinating activities such as Incinerator/Thermal & Claus reactors dryout, amine degreasing, catalyst loading and etc.
To be involved in Project Phase II together with gaining experience from existing CDU/VDU unit.
Participated in FEED phase P&ID review and HAZOP workshop sessions for CDU/VDU unit.
Responsible for operation and maintenance activities to ensure maximum efficiency in existing unit.
Providing operating procedures for safe operation.
Investigating problems, analyzing root causes and deriving resolutions.
