  • Conducted regular inspections of pastures and fencing systems to ensure optimal health of animals.
  • Coordinated with veterinarians to provide appropriate care and treatment for animals when veterinarian-assisted treatment was needed. I was required to take care of any animal health that didn't require a vet. I attended school to learn how to palpate, ultrasound, and AI our cow herd. I have been tasked with calving out 120 head of first-calf heifers, along with several hundred head of mother cows.
  • Developed marketing campaigns to promote products from the ranch in local markets. Worked directly with Western Video Marketing in order to promote and sell loads of weaned calves in the fall.
  • Inspected ranch property and identified areas of improvement. Included was general ranch maintenance on corrals, water systems, and equipment. I was required to do most mechanical work, including welding and water line work.
  • I am proficient in running any equipment, welding and fabricating, and water/irrigation systems.
