  • Operated as a Captain assigned to A-Shift alongside both civilian & military firefighters providing all-encompassing fire & emergency response services to the patrons onboard Davis-Monthan AFB
  • Assisted the Station Chief providing immediate oversight and direction of day-to-day operations at the fire station for A-shift. Directed the operation of firefighting vehicles such as pumpers, aerial ladder trucks, and crash-rescue trucks; supervised the performance of crash-rescue and firefighting duties at airfields handling complex aircraft (e.g. fighters, bombers, cargo, passenger).
  • As a crew chief, supervised the performance of structural firefighting duties for a variety of facilities which may include research and/or large industrial complexes; hazardous materials (HAZMAT) containment and control duties; and/or Basic Life Support duties. Supervised the rescue of personnel and immediate first aid measures to alleviate further injury and prepare the victim(s) for transport to a medical facility.
  • Trained military firefighters in different aspects of fire prevention, EMS, & suppression. Monitored performance to assess additional training needs; Training techniques included a variety of hands-on, literature-based, and computer-oriented tasks that facilitated the growth of crew members.
  • Supervised the crew in the performance of standby duty at the station, including maintenance of equipment, execution of practice drills, and performance of fire prevention inspections; Supervised the maintenance of firefighting equipment and fire station facilities.
