  • Being present as floor manager to ensure all operations of the building are running smoothly. Areas to watch over include box office, concessions, bar, projection, money and usher.
  • Worked with projection equipment and made sure movies were running properly. This includes turning projectors on/off, troubleshooting any issues that may arise, and ensuring the picture and audio is perfect.
  • Working with Theatre Management System (TMS), a very hands-on program designed to run projection smoothly.
  • Handling money by counting onto the building safe, counting accurately every time, filling registers with money for the day, completing drops as needed, and counting off registers when the day is over.
  • Working in guest services in person, over the phone or through emails. This includes helping guests purchase tickets online, answering general inquiries about the theatre, assisting guests with refunds or attempting to fix any issue that may arise while a guest is visiting.
  • Communicate with the other theatre staff on what was to be expected of the day and passing on important information for employees working after I leave for the day.
  • Creating work schedules for the employees at the theatre. This includes ensuring employees are not scheduled outside availability and handling any time off requests they may have.
  • Training new employees in each area (usher, door, box office and concessions).
