Job Summary
Hub Manager is responsible for managing sort and load activities with a daily operating cost of 1.5 million dollars per sort. Manage sort with 450 hourly employees on roll, 12 full time supervisors within purview and 41 part time supervisors. Demonstrated effective cost management with declining volume from July 24 to resent date. Accountable for ensuring packages are sorted accurately and loaded onto appropriate trailers for movement to next location. This position manages full-time and part-time Hub Supervisors.
The Hub Manager collaborates with Hub and Feeder management (e.g., Feeder Schedulers, Feeder Managers, etc.) to plan weekly special sort activities. He/She holds team accountable to execute agreed plans of safety, service, and production standards. This position collaborates with Feeder and Dispatch operations to ensure loads for large business customers are sorted and built according to service agreements. The Hub Manager facilitates Hub pre-sort meetings to communicate Feeder, Dispatch, and other needs to Hub employees. He/She reviews daily operational reports to manage productivity and performance.
