  • Began Freeport career on the converter turnaround crew.
  • Completed necessary repairs to rebuild converters. Including operation of Brokk machine to remove old brick from converter.
  • Perform necessary steel repairs. Including Tuyere line, dam walls burn port walls, end walls, siphon tube.
  • Weld new sections of steel with Mig and GMAW wire feed welders, LN 25, LN 8 machines.
  • Reline converters with brick. Including barrel brick, tuyere line, entry ways dam walls, end walls, siphon tube, dome covers.
  • Operated boom trucks, carry deck, mobile cranes up to 140 ton.
  • 2012 Transferred to Pm crew.
  • Made necessary repairs to Industrial fixed plant equipment. Including replacing converter gearboxes, motors.
  • Repaired Anode Vessels, anode plant equipment. Hydraulic/mechanical repairs to picker machines, pouring system, anode wheel.
  • Worked on 75 ton overhead cranes. Removed/replaced gearboxes, motors, Bridge/Trolley wheels, Cable drums.
  • Learned basic machine work while on pm crew. Including Lathe turning, boring, facing, parting. Learned to run bridgeport and lagun mill, 15" american hole wizard drill.
  • December 2017, transferred to the SX Maintenance shop.
