The power plant near home was doing local hiring thru work force development. The interviewer just happened to have worked in the forestry work force that I have been doing five yrs before. I was told that line of work was the hardest job that he knows of and said that I was the person for the job.(Laborer) I worked with the civil department until their scope of work was done. It was a Thursday and an electrical foreman approache close to the end of the day and said that he had observed that I was always busy and asked if I wanted to work with the electricians because the next day the crew I was working with was going to be laid off. So he said come Monday morning just show up as usual and report to him. Since then I worked with unbelievable journeymen that have taught me so much. And made me well rounded to be put in any task. Also had a great electrical instructor that taught me well.
I've installed underground conduit, above ground conduit, cable tray, equipment layout, control terminations, medium voltage terminations, high voltage terminations,
As an apprentice I started out fabbing supports and installing. Also bending conduit, fabbing cable trays, grounding, bonding and pulling wire, digging tranches.
Performed manual labor tasks including shoveling dirt and transporting wire and other materials needed for the job.
Raceway and terminations
I currently hold a journeyman's license for the states of Utah, Idaho, and Texas.
