Work History

Safety Officer/EMT

Six Flags
02.2025 - 07.2025
  • I worked as an EMT and a Safety Officer at Six Flags, Hurricane Harbor.
  • This job has many responsibilities, ranging from treating and responding to calls of injuries and possible illnesses at the waterpark.
  • My work also included taking vital signs, conducting physical examinations, and documenting all injuries and illnesses that happened on park property.
  • I also conducted audits and safety inspections of all buildings, lifeguards, and other structures to ensure that there was no damage to anything, and that everything was functioning properly.

Internship Student

Hospice of the Valley
08.2025 - 12.2025
  • I was an intern through an internship/class model that partnered with Arizona State University Students and Hospice of the Valley, known as MED 484.
  • This internship was led by Dr.Gillian Hamilton, who is the Medical Director for the Dementia Care and Education Campus, which is a part of Hospice of the Valley. She, along with other healthcare professionals, designed a care campus dedicated to housing and helping those with Dementia.
  • The Dementia Care Campus has an adult day club, assisted living, and a hospice inpatient unit. There are also multiple "learning rooms" in the facility to help teach the general public about recognizing and helping those who suffer from Dementia.
  • This internship had two main goals: to prepare students to manage their stress and emotions in the future, especially when pursuing careers in healthcare, and to also be exposed to the observations, interactions, and treatments for those afflicted with Dementia and other intellectual, cognitive, and memory-loss conditions.
  • This internship involved weekly Zoom meetings every Tuesday and Saturday, where the class, along with Dr.Hamilton, would practice meditation techniques, discuss and reflect on these meditations, and also engage with members of the public who were interested in learning how to meditate.
  • The internship also focused on doing observation rotations of nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, medical directors, and other healthcare professionals in the work they do.
  • Much of the shadowing and engagement occurred at the Dementia Care Campus, where I would engage with those suffering from Dementia and also observed those actively dying, and saw the symptoms and behavior that arise from the progression of this devastating disease.

Volunteer

HonorHealth
04.2025 - Current
  • I currently work at HonorHealth Tempe Medical Center at the information desk in the main entrance.
  • This job has many responsibilities and tasks, such as taking and leading people to the admitting, waiting rooms, and pre-operations.
  • For the first three months of volunteering, I worked in the Adult Day Healthcare, which is a senior enrichment program that focuses on engaging with those who suffer from dementia and physical impairments. Approximately 80% of the clients suffer from dementia.
  • My job for the first three months was to simply engage with seniors and make sure they didn't feel excluded or suffer from any isolation.
  • After three months, I transferred to the information desk at the entrance of the hospital, where I help people find patient rooms, provide customer service, and assist anyone who may need help while coming and going in the hospital, whether they are patients, visitors, or hospital personnel.
