As a safety representative:

• Communicate with fellow coworkers to identify all concerned issues.
• Be the initiator of TOFS in case of any change to COW.
• Leader during the Departmental Safety Meeting and TBTs.
• Assisting supervisors with safety and work-related paperwork.
• Be an applicant for the Marine Department work permits (which require extensive knowledge of the PTW system).
• Take initiative or be a challenger of any new safety programs on the rig for their correct and high-standard application.
• To be involved in the identification of hazards pertaining to daily tasks using the 3D HIT method and selecting suitable precautionary measures.

As a marine crew member

• Assessing the lifting method and plan for any given task for all departments.
• During lifting operations, perform Banksman/slinger roles and duties.
• Be a watchman during any bulk operations, hot works, work at heights, confined space entry, life boat, and FRC entries for inspections.
• Be part of the firefighting team during fire drills and helicopter operations.
• Rescue team member for confined-space tasks.
• Performing weekly, monthly, and yearly preventative maintenance of all firefighting and lifesaving equipment and systems.
