I functioned as a postdoctoral fellow from August 2022 to August 2024, when I transitioned to the Assistant Professor role. In my current role, I conduct impactful research leveraging digital health technologies to facilitate diabetes self-management behaviors and outcomes for underserved populations. I am also working with key healthcare systems that care for underserved populations with type 2 diabetes to identify, design, and implement evidence-based strategies to improve outcomes for these patients. I have other scholarly responsibilities, such as research publications and dissemination, and peer review activities. I also teach undergraduate nursing course on ethics for healthcare professionals, culture and health and provide research practicum mentorship.
