• Maintain full responsibility for safe and timely flight planning and release of flight information for required flight operations in compliance with all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and other regulatory requirements
• Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers as well as with peers and other team members to provide a superior air transportation experience for Flight Crews and Owners
• Create flight-plans to include routing, weight and balance, and aircraft performance and capabilities
• Anticipate and proactively take action to handle all dispatch events, situations, and opportunities

• Report to both air traffic control and airport staff regarding departure times and after departure provide timely reports on aircraft status as well as anticipated arrival times
• Identify process improvements and efficiencies for various functions to improve dispatch operations
• Schedule flights for airlines and ensure FAA rules, regulations, and policies are consistently followed
• Communicate and interact with pilots and flight engineers to determine if flights can be made safely
• Maintain regular contact with crews after aircraft is airborne to keep them advised of weather conditions, fuel requirements, traffic flow, alternate landing plans, and necessary changes in altitude
• Examine mechanic reports and documentation to verify required maintenance has been completed
• Perform as the liaison between pilots and ground service personnel and keep appropriate flight personnel informed regarding aircraft status
• Maintain familiarity with navigation facilities over airline routes and at airports as well as with the takeoff, cruising, and landing characteristics of aircraft operated
