Grace Owens

I am currently taking a Jazz 3 class at my dance studio Desert Dance Collective.

I am currently a performance dancer for the Dorado Dance Company. I perform at the school assemblies and am going to perform at the spring concert.

I am currently a teachers assistant for the advanced dance class at Canyon Del Oro High School. I assist the teacher by helping her with classroom tasks.

I am currently a recipient for the Seal of Excellence award in Dance education. This award is given to students who dedicate extra time in dance and do a capstone project in the field of dance.

I am currently apart of the 2024 to 2025 Desert Dance collective gold team. This is a performance dance team who performs at various events throughout the year. I have currently performed at Nascar Cup x finity championship race, Zoolights, The Arizona Diamondbacks and the Roadrunners Hockey Game.

During my senior year from August 2024 to December 2024 I was apart of the Advanced Dance class. I made one choreographed dance piece during that time.

My Senior year of High School I choreographed a piece called " Line Disconnected". This was for the Fall concert of 2024 and was a jazz piece Telephone by Lady Gaga. It was with me and four other dancers.

For the 2023 to 2024 dance season I took senior contemporary at the dance studio Desert Dance Collective.

During my Junior year of high school when i was apart of the Dorado dance advanced class. My friend was a senior and was apart of the senior showcase she invited me to be in the showcase with her so we made a duet .

During my junior year of High school I was in the Dorado Dancers Advanced Dance Class. This composed on learning how to make dance pieces. I choreographed 2 dance pieces during that year.

My Junior year at the CDOs advanced dance program I choreographed a piece called "work it" for the fall concert it consisted of me and four other dancers. The piece was a sassy jazz number.

For the 2022 to 2023 dance season I took a year of acro 2 from the dance studio Desert Dance Collective.

My sophomore year of High School I was apart of the Dorado Dance company's Advanced Dance Program. This class focused on making choreography to showcase at two concerts during the fall and spring season. In these concerts I was in a group dance and two small group pieces.

My freshman year of high school I was in the dorado dance company's beginning dance class. This class was designed to strengthen technique by across the floor and units which we learned different dance styles.
