I oversee daily procurement activities for assigned vessels operating in Middle East region and office related services. Handle MCV fleet requisitions, RFQ, process PO’s, monitor delivery, and update relevant stakeholders. Below are my main responsibilities:

• Identify new suppliers. Monitor performance of existing suppliers to ensure continued cost-effective quality service / material provision.
• Ensure requisitions from supervisors and managers for goods or services are received, processed, and controlled in a timely manner.
• Analyze quotations received for materials & services to ensure compliance with actual requirements.
• Ensure timely follow-up and delivery of the items and related logistics.
• Conduct overseas purchasing with special attention including timely follow-up of the goods ordered, all related logistics movements, customs clearance and delivery to the stores or vessels as applicable.
• Assist line manager to identify regular procured goods/ & services for frame agreements, introduce suppliers and implement frame agreement.
• Develop new suppliers to save cost and improve quality.
• Analyse vendor performance data regularly, communicate and advise POML management best course of action in order to maintain strategy and vision for sourcing strategies.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure the delivery of quality goods and services.
• Assist finance to resolve any discrepancy related to supplier invoice processing.
• Review and action on Open Requisitions and PO reports to comply with the departmental KPIs.

Worked with key accounts of the company. Achieved client satisfaction by providing smooth logistics services. Below activities were part of my duties:

• Conducted price and service negotiation with customers and vendors.
• Oversaw daily operations of international transportation: Coordinated international air, road, railway, sea freight import activities, adhering to tight schedules and deadlines. Handled large amount of containerized shipments from Asia to Azerbaijan and export shipments from Azerbaijan to Africa/Asia, cross booking shipments from Europe to Africa.
• Supervised the junior team members.

I was in charge of procurement of Tools & Materials division within supplier company of construction materials.

• Conducted inventory control and prepared weekly/monthly procurement forecast in accordance with sales department.
• Organized procurement of necessary goods from local and international suppliers. Scheduled deliveries for purchased goods. Kept track on shipments and handled documentation process after goods arrival at warehouse.
