I worked with a team at Bahama Bucks, creating high-quality products for customers and providing customer service. I was a cashier there, too, so I dealt with handling the store's money and recording it at the end of the night. Since I was part of the team, I would also help to complete the chores for each hour, as well as handle customer questions and address their needs. Lastly, I was one of the inventory managers there, so I would report how much inventory we had and then go purchase it at the store to stay stocked up.
It built my NACE competencies by:
- Helping with my communication skills since my group and I had to work together to gather different information about the culturally important to the Dine tribe
- Aiding my teamwork skills by connecting me to my group members so we could help each other to further project details, gain more knowledge from different research, and come up with new perspectives
- It has helped my leadership strengths by pushing me to be more verbal about deadlines and staying on track
Another project I have worked on is a sustainability group project
