• Selected as the Enhanced Safety Facilitator and helped train over 800 employees at the Gallup, Phoenix, and Winslow terminals.
• Built and presented PowerPoint presentations to TY&E employees and supervisors about the importance of approaching others about safety. Approaching Others is designed to address the risk associated with the exposures that result in 97 percent of the fatalities and serious injuries in the rail industry.
• Enhanced Safety Training helped the BNSF Transportation Rail Department reach an Injury Frequency Ratio of 1.7 (Injury Rate Per 200,000 Employee Hours).

• Frontline supervisor who was responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of trains in Flagstaff and Winslow, Arizona.
• Oversee train crews (conductors and engineers) and ensure they follow safety rules, federal regulations, and company policies.
• Manage daily rail operations, including train movements, yard activity, and on-time performance.
• Coordinate with dispatchers, mechanical teams, and other departments to keep freight moving smoothly.

• Worked daily with local TY&E Supervisors, MOW, Mechanical, and Dispatching to safely build, transport and spot railway cars.
• Daily procedures included job safety briefings with Trainmaster and other crews as well as strategically planning how to build and place railway cars for trains to pick up based on BNSF train makeup and compliance rules.
• Trained new hires how to perform switching operations while following BNSF safety rules.

Taught rules classes for BNSF TY&E employees seeking recertification in Winslow, Phoenix, and Gallup. Addressed hazmat, GCOR, air brake, and handling guidelines to reinforce compliance. Collaborated with management to mentor novice employees on switching cars and constructing trains.

• Helped new conductor trainees learn and apply BNSF rules and guidelines using GCOR (General Code of Operating Rules) in Gallup, Phoenix and Winslow.
• During field training taught new employees how to switch and move rail cars during yard operations.
• Scheduled and monitored training trips for new employees at 3 different terminals.
