Hello, my name is Jena. I am a hard worker that thrives in fast-paced environments and I love to challenge myself. I have been told I have an excellent work ethic and I always strive to learn more and work harder. My junior and senior years of high school I studied veterinary science at East Valley Institute of Technology and graduated with my veterinary assisting certification. I am furthering my education and attending Pima Medical Institute as of this year. I’m thrilled to be working with animals. In my first year of EVIT, I got fear-free certified and I also volunteered at the Central Arizona Animal Rescue where I was able to watch and assist. Some of the amazing things I got to experience are restraint, neuters, and spaying procedures, removing ticks, attending to wounds, microchipping, and vaccinating dogs and puppies. I am excited and eager to contribute to an amazing team of people who love animals as much as I do. I am goal-oriented and would love a job in the veterinary field to allow me to learn from veterinary professionals with more knowledge than I have while I’m attending school.
