Teracom Service is an Electrical company. It has multiple divisons such as AC Electrical, DC Electrical, Solar and Communications. I am the purchasing agent for the AC Electrical Division. As such, I am tasked with purchasing/ procuring all the material necessary for the successful completion of our projects. This includes going over the project drawings and for specific "materials/specs" that it specifies ( E- Sheets) as well as the daily material requests from the project foreman. I negotiate with our distributors/suppliers for the best cost/availibility of materials (copper/ EMT/ PVC/ hardware ETC. ETC.)

I am also part of the estimating team. I review the "bid invites" with the estimator and I am responsible for obtaining switch gear quotes ( panels, SES, generators, MTS, ETC.) from multiple manufacturers ( Eaton, Siemens, SQD, GE) and reviewing these quotes to make sure they align with the project requirements.

I also review the lighting requirements and produce the counts for each specified type of light needed for the project and obtain a quote for the lighting from various reps (depending on the projects needs).

If the project is awarded, I obtain the submittals for the switchgear and lighting, review and send to the GC team for review/approval. once this is completed I produce a PO and purchase all the necessary equipment/materials.
