Group focus: "Pioneering Synthetic Organic Chemistry: From Reaction Discovery to Real-World Application"

• In this research lab I preformed various chemical techniques including: HNMR, CNMR, IR, TLC, Liquid-Liquid Extraction, Column Chromatography, Re-crystallization, and ChemOffice.
• Actively worked on the ChemistryByDesign project; taking newly published syntheses and publishing them on this open to the public platform to understand how modern synthesis works.
• Kept a detailed notebook on many different reactions done in the laboratory.
• Worked on projects including: Delta-Lactam, Acyclic Cope, and other various reactions.

Jeffery Pyun Polymer and Materials Chemistry

Group focus: "The synthesis and characterization of novel polymeric and composite materials, with an emphasis on the control of nanoscale structure"

• Apart of the DMREF program; designed to inform and integrate undergraduates into novel research labs. Partnered with five different Principal Investigators at the University of Arizona.
• Understood different level of research from quantum chemistry computing to large scale polymer production.
• Emphasis on: electrochemistry and quantum modeling with AMS programming.

Volunteer Job Description: The Eckerd College Search and Rescue Team (EC-SAR) is a highly trained group of student volunteers who work closely with the U.S. Coast Guard, 911 Emergency Medical Response and other state and local agencies to answer more than 500 maritime distress calls per year.

• Went on over 15 cases in the Bay Area of Tampa and St. Petersburg
• Followed instructions quickly and diligently
• Worked with the U.S. Coast Guard
