• Manage and Organize the utilization of the YAHSAT O&M Level 3 Workshop
• Optimize and improve the facilities and processes to maximize efficiency of assessment and repair functions
• Provide periodic management reports as needed on the performance of the Equipment Assessment and Triage functions
• Responsible for fault diagnosis and best effort repairs of satellite ground terminal equipment and cabling as well as confirmation of fit for purpose of newly acquired equipment.
• Execute Equipment Assessment as required on received equipment for the purposes of fault isolation and diagnosis, for periodic stock validation and for validation of received inventory into the store (new or returned from mission or repair)
• Optimize and improve the facilities and processes to maximize efficiency of assessment and repair functions
• Provide periodic management reports as needed on the performance of the Equipment Assessment and Triage function
• Ensures correct and proper implementation of Electrical and Mechanical tests on ION equipment (DigiFin, CMX and CTX) in accordance with Engineering documentation, instructions, and/or procedures on all shipped products
• Presents and discusses with manager monthly repair forecast and materials planning
• Maintains all shop equipment and tools in good working order • Work with Managers and Engineers for the quick resolution of product and process flaws
• Performs equipment modifications on new or existing equipment or processes
• Mentors and coaches junior technicians
• Strictly comply to company’s QHSE guidelines and procedures
• Monitoring, control and operation of computerized building supervisory and control systems (SCADA), Fire Alarm Systems, Gas leak detection Systems, Utility Metering Systems and Security Systems
• Testing and Commissioning of Building Automation System startup
• Provide guidance and reports thru radio communication to respective technical teams all operation abnormalities
• Maintenance of all microprocessor based DDC, PLC panels, sensors, transmitters, VFD’s, etc. for the automation systems
• Responsible in test equipment programs, validation and verification, upgrade and/or repair.
• Work closely with other engineers and other divisions for process and quality improvements.
• Uses all digital and analog electronic test equipment and test systems to do board failure analysis, repair and debugging.
• Develop software tools and checkers that promote efficiency and quality
• Create test program solutions/simulations on diagnostics bug issues
• Support new product transfer startup/set-up, and the improvement of the failure analysis process.
