Performed UM for: All units and did Case reviews to deem medical necessities Referred to any admissions who don’t meet inpatient criteria for secondary review. Worked on Systems: Epic & InterQual, Sent Updated Clinical and Criteria Review to Insurance.

• Medication administration orally, subcutaneously, intramuscular, sublingual, topically and emergency medications i.e. Benadryl, Haldol, Ativan and Geodon as ordered by psychiatrist. Monitored for side effects and adverse reactions Admissions of clients directly from hospital referrals due to Emergency Detention Order as evidenced by wanting to harm self and others. Admissions of clients who are detoxing, Admissions of clients with psychosis and other related co-occurring disorders. Discharges of clients after education regarding medication adherence, psychiatrically cleared, and care coordination with case management, other outside providers, housing, and other programs. Interdisciplinary Care Team conferences, monitoring every 15 minutes, and participating in handling psychiatric codes.

• Mental Health Adult with history of homelessness and Veterans care diagnosed with Mental Health and Medical Needs Case Management. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team; OT/PT, MD and other Licenses and Ancillary teams along with board and care, and ILF Managers. Implements Nursing interventions such as blood glucose, blood pressure, administration of oxygen, wound care and emergency care of clients I.e. hypo/hyperglycemia care, supervised other ancillary members i.e. Personal Aides. Reports to Insurance Case Managers regarding the clients. Obtaining Treatment Authorizations Request.

• Conducts Behavioral Health medical necessity reviews for continued stay reviews, care coordination, discharge planning, and post-nursing calls. Coordinates care with Providers /Facilities and veterans for proper placement inpatient, intensive outpatient program and partial hospitalization. Initiates discharge-planning care coordination and post-service nursing calls. Provides support to non-clinical staff on clinical and coding questions. Conducts pre-admission screening assessments and notifies veteran’s referrals provided by their providers.
