I have experience and knowledge in a variety of fields from maintenance related work, to customer service, and warehouse/logistical work. Regardless of the type of work I have done, I was always able to adapt to the specific job and performed well in the various roles. I prefer mostly outdoor work and to do most of my work alone as I am self motivated. I believe that I am a good problem solver and don't require constant supervision. I don't have any expert professional skills but, I can learn quickly and perform reliably.
My current job as the Logistics Associate is a role in the accounting department of Amangiri. In this job I did/do the following tasks:
Logged, received, and delivered all of the incoming packages and shipments for Amangiri. Packaged and sent out shipments. Ordered and purchased items for various departments. Checked daily emails and received daily phone calls interdepartmentally and from our guests or their travel agents. Drove company vehicles including vans, trucks, cars, UTVs and forklifts. Drove long distances, carried significant cargo loads, and drove without causing an accident or getting a ticket for 9 years in current job. Lifted heavy packages and used hand carts / pallet jacks frequently. Walked frequently and worked outside for at least half of the day. Did bank deposits and delivered the mail.
As an Experience Advisor at Amangiri I helped our guests book their ideal trips for their specific needs. I emailed with and talked with our guests and their agents over the phone or in person. I built their trip packages to include their preferences in spa, meal, activity, and travel bookings. I was in contact with other Amangiri employees as well as outside vendors and guides to ensure that these activities and events were booked correctly and that they met the specific requests of each guest. I organized, scheduled, and planned events. Most of the job was done from a chair at a computer/phone.
To become an employee at SRP I had to complete various testing and training requirements. There was a heavy emphasis on safety measures. The maintenance role was an entry level position and most of what I did was in training to gain more experience. The sort of jobs I was allowed to do on my own were basic facility maintenance jobs like pressure washing, forklift operation, sweeping, metal cleaning, hazardous material removals, etc. I was only at SRP for about a year.
