I have been with Yavapai Emergency Animal Hospital since it opened in July of 2020. Along with being an ER nurse, I am in charge of balancing and maintaining our controlled substance logs. As an ER nurse my dutied include, but are not limited to:

For the first two years that I worked at Prescott Area Pet Emergency Hospital, I worked as a technician manager and a fulltime ER nurse. After 2 years, I stepped down as a manager and worked as an ER nurse only. Those duties include, but were not limited to the following:
Served on board regulating veterinarians, certified veterinary technicians, and veterinary premises in Arizona overseeing animal care
Lead technician, Dentistry, surgery, lab, room tech. pit tech. Controlled drug balancing. Technician training PMP inputting to the state. Client education.
Previously lead technician at the Equine Hospital from 2007-2009, and helped establish the beginning of their anesthetic protocols.
Taught Anatomy and Physiology as part of the Veterinary Technology track at the high school. Students were predominantly sophomores with interest in pursuing degrees in veterinary medicine or human medicine in college.
Certified Veterinary technician in a small animal hospital. In charge of staff education and training new assistants/technicians. Helped implement new protocols for AAHA inspection/approval.
**While living in California I was also on a list for relief technicians for several area hospitals ranging from La Jolla to Poway, which included Small Animal/Exotics and Emergency Hospitals.**
I began working as kennel technician for 2 months, before being moved up to a veterinary assistant. I worked as an assistant while studying to become a CVT. I passed my Certified Veterinary Technician State and National Examinations in 2000.
