- Manage a team of auditors, ensuring accurate and timely completion of audits/refunds
- Perform the necessary maintenance on TAS so the approved refunds will issue
- Inform upper management of any audits/refunds that could impact a county or city
- Provide assistance to the auditors and other areas of the Department regarding audits/refunds
- Respond to taxpayer inquiries either through verbal or written communication
- Keep the auditors informed of any changes in legislation or hearing decisions
- Represent the Department at informals and formal hearings with the taxpayer community regarding protested audits/refunds
- Attend meetings to discuss issues and how it may determine the outcome of an audit/refund
- Hire and train the employees on the different transaction privilege tax classifications
- Quarterly reviews with each employee to review their work performance
- Use of AMS principles to improve the taxpayer experience in TPT Audit
