Sets-up and fills dewars and cylinders per customer requests, loads and delivers cryogenic products to customer locations.

• Performs the installation of high pressure and/or low temperature cylinders at the clients location.

• Troubleshoots malfunctioning equipment including electrical wiring, installation of switches, fuses, and high-pressure plumbing for the helium compressors.

Diagnoses mechanical problems of cryogenic systems and containers such as removing ice plugs, detecting leaks, fixing and/or replacing relief valves on cryogenic vessels.

• Performs preventative maintenance on the helium liquefaction system, the cryogenics gas filling station, helium compressors, high pressure dewars, cylinders and vacuum pumps.

• Preventative maintenance includes changing fluids, purging excess gas and/or liquids, pre-cooling, calibrating gages, and cleaning various cryogenics systems.

Assists in the scheduling of deliveries and client requests for repairs to facilitate efficient and effective use of Cryogenics personnel and timely delivery of cryogenics products to clients.

• Uses computerized system to generate sales orders, track inventory and is capable of adjusting and approving billing issues and customer requests. Prepares request for supplies, computes costs and keeps records of supply inventory.

Coordinates and monitors the daily work activities of Cryogenic Technicians and Trades Helpers.

• Trains and instructs personnel in the proper usage of cryogenics systems and equipment, and ensures that proper filling techniques and safety procedures are followed.

• Additional duties may be assigned.•

Participates in ordering and purchasing standard stock items or cryogenics products within established procedures.
