  • To Whom It May Concern:
  • Please consider this letter a recommendation to hire our current employee, Marie Blanchet. We have had mixed feelings about Marie’s decision to move to away from California. We agree that she is doing what is best for her personally, but regret having such a valuable employee leave us.
  • Marie has been with Santa Barbara Teachers Federal Credit Union since September of 2007. Marie has performed many duties in our loan department in addition to providing general member service in person and over the phone. Marie’s primary responsibilities include real estate and vehicle insurance tracking, underwriting and closing consumer loans, providing consumer and real estate loan options to our members, and many other related loan tasks.
  • Her strengths have been her excellent customer service skills, accuracy, intelligence, dependability, and ability to learn. Marie has always taken the initiative to understand every aspect of her position in our loan department. Due to these strengths, she was given additional responsibilities assisting our accounting manager with daily and monthly reconciliations as well as investment journal entries and investment schedule preparation using excel spreadsheets.
  • Marie would be a valuable asset at any organization, especially a financial environment where her combination of customer service skills and credit union technical knowledge could be utilized.
  • If there are any questions, please feel free to call me directly at 805-682-2468 x131 or by my e-mail rmlaughlin@sbtfcu.org.
