  • Prepared a 22-year-old head trauma patient for a higher degree of independence through physical therapy and speech rehabilitation which we reinforced at home. The root cause of her behavioral problems was partially induced by guilt because she was driving with a friend in the car that she was driving. When she awoke from the coma she found out that and her friend died. Suggested to her parents the need for therapy. At the end of our work together, we formed the fist head trauma chapter in Ventura County and she was able to live independently.
  • Encouraged a 27-year-old with peritoneal dialysis, diabetic, renal diet and helped her to prepare for a kidney transplant at UCLA Medical Center. Facilitated her through her grieving process by creating a positive supportive environment, establishing trust while advocating open communication. with empathy and active listening skills.
  • Assisted several quadriplegics with all ADL's. Many of them were new injuries and young, I became proficient at finding their motivation, coaching and helping them to adapt.
  • Helped a 6 year old boy with patterning for his neurological function. Enhanced his life by creating innovative fun therapeutic puzzles and games that were approved by the physical and occupational therapist. This felt like play to him and his depression improved dramatically.
