Earned the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for developing the aircraft transfer and acceptance plan for my squadrons last deployment as a handpicked maintenance leader for the Advanced Echelon. Upon arrival, went above and beyond, ensuring the accuracy of Maintenance Data Specialists from both squadrons so that all incoming aircraft had their proper documentation. Ensured that the Aircraft Discrepancy Books and logs and records for all twelve aircraft were accurate, up to date, in the correct format, and complied with the
applicable inspections. This extra effort ensured that flight operations could be supported immediately upon arrival. During the Relief in Place/Transfer of Authority between two different operational units, proved instrumental in the smooth transition for the Maintenance Department. The chief architect and supervisor for the transfer and acceptance plan that was flawlessly and flexibly executed, phasing the transfer of aircraft to support real world flight operations while balancing mixed custody between squadrons. The transition was executed in such an efficient manner that it had absolutely no negative impact on the flow of maintenance or flight operations. Additionally, leveraged previous deployment experience to quickly train the oncoming maintenance controller on all duties and responsibilities pertaining to the billet, as well as all of the reporting requirements.
