Michael Caloger

Job Duties:

• Patrol primary jurisdiction area. Self initiate activity for crimes in progress, suspicious persons, and citizen assists.
• Respond to calls for service. Handle criminal cases and write reports for a variety of offenses including theft and criminal damage cases.
• Conduct investigations related to criminal cases.
• Assist police officers with cases. Interview witnesses and victims for cases.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid.
• Engage with and provide support to persons in crisis.
• Assist with processing prisoners including completing fingerprinting, applicable paperwork and completing MCSO pre-booking process. Assist with transporting prisoners to MCSO jail facility.
• Conduct traffic control related to calls for service as well as at large special events such as football and basketball games.

Specialty Assignments:

• 2018-2019 ASU Police Special Events Unit
• Focused on logistics and planning for all special events hosted by ASU. Ensured operational needs were met for equipment and other resources needed. Attended large scale planning meetings with a multitude of agencies with a focus on how the police departments role plays a part in the larger operational plan.
• Coordinated alcohol permits for ASU hosted events in accordance with university policy and state law.
• Acted as a representative of the unit while working special events in a uniformed capacity.
• Conducted frequent traffic control working special events.

• • Part of Washington State Referee travel team, traveled to Oregon, California, Arizona, New Mexico, etc.... representing Washington as a referee at regional championship events

• Washington Youth Soccer –Youth Representative Board March 2013-August 2015
• • Responsible for representing over 100,000 youth soccer players in the state as well as all the officials
• • Worked to create policies to improve safety for players and sideline behavior to benefit officials

• • Attended monthly board meetings to represent the 900+ youth referees in Seattle

Competitive sports Program Manager

• Responsible for supervising intramural and recreational events sponsored by the SDFC. Provide leadership to staff as well as assistance to patrons. Also responsible for providing first aid to injured patrons.
