I am writing to express my strong interest in the RN Nurse Residency Program at Banner University. As a dedicated nursing student currently enrolled in the Accelerated BSN program at Grand Canyon University, with an expected graduation on December 12, 2025, I am eager to begin my professional nursing career in an environment that values compassion, excellence, and individualized care, principles that are deeply aligned with Banner’s mission. My foundation in healthcare is rooted in both science and service. I hold a bachelor’s degree in biology with an emphasis in Pre-Medicine, which has strengthened my critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills. However, it was my hands-on caregiving experience that truly revealed my passion for nursing and the unique ability to combine technical skill with compassionate connection. My journey began as a volunteer with Hospice of the Valley, where I provided support in pediatric hospice (Ryan’s House), dementia care, and palliative units. These experiences instilled in me the importance of empathy, active listening, and presence in every patient interaction. Later, as a Certified Caregiver and Owner/Manager of an assisted living home, I gained direct experience in medication administration, wound care, therapy support, and patient safety coordination. I also oversaw staff training, compliance, and operations these skills that taught me to balance clinical precision with leadership and compassion. Through these experiences, I developed a strong ability to provide personalized, home-based care, an environment that requires independence, adaptability, and trust-building with patients and families. I believe these qualities, along with my strong communication skills and dedication to lifelong learning, make me an excellent fit for Banner’s new graduate nursing program. I am inspired by Banner’s commitment to fostering the growth of new nurses through mentorship and evidence-based practice. I would be honored to contribute to your team and continue learning under the guidance of professionals who share my passion for compassionate, high-quality care delivered with evidence-based practice interventions. Thank you for considering my application. I welcome the opportunity to further discuss how my education, clinical experience, and commitment to patient-centered care align with Banner’s mission and the goals for patient care.
