As an in-house security officer I conduct exterior patrols by using the company vehicle to patrol the parking lots and parking garage of the campus. I make interior patrols and check locked doors, water sources, restrooms, computer rooms, janitor closets, small sized chiller plants: I monitor cctvs and alarms via the Avigilon Alta and Rhombus security systems, answer phone, provide customer service, use a 2 way radio to communicate with other officers on duty, patrol and check Data Center with computer systems and Liebert machines, interact with the Phoenix Police, Phoenix Fire, contractors and other facilities staff. Do escorts for customers and employees, type in daily activity reports via computer system, report to security supervisor and security manager, respond to alarms and know how to manage fire panels, have taken CPR and pepper spray classes on company grounds.
