1996-2006

Patrol Deputy in the San Xavier District where I completed the following duties:

-Responded to a wide range of emergency calls for service to determine the nature of the incident and took appropriate action.

-Conducted interviews of victims, witnesses, and suspects to gather facts and evidence in furtherance of criminal Investigations.

-Patrolled assigned districts to maintain a high visible presence and to ensure readiness for calls for service.

-Employed physical and verbal de-escalation techniques to mitigate conflicts to the least amount force or injury necessary.

-Executed lawful arrests, served warrants, and collected evidence in furtherance of criminal Investigations.

-Served Writs of Restitution, Orders of Protection/Harassment, Mental Health Orders, and Arrest Warrants.

-Conducted High risk Felony Stops, self initiated activity such as criminal/civil traffic enforcement, High speed pursuits, Traffic Collision investigations, and security checks of Public Property.

-Trained and evaluated Deputy Recruits as a Field Training Officer.

2006-2014

Criminal Investigations Detective where I was assigned to the following Units and Duties:

2006-2007

Crimes Against Children: I investigated allegations regarding physical and/or sexual crimes perpetrated against minors. I received training in Forensic Interviewing. Duties included monitoring Forensic Interviews of minor victims, determining criminal violations, collecting evidence, obtaining/serving subpoenas and search warrants, interviewing suspects, arresting offenders, and presenting/issuing cases to the County Attorney's Office and Grand Jury.

2007-2011

Detective assigned to the Counter Narcotics Alliance, a Federal HIDTA Taskforce. I investigated the Possession, Transportation, Sale of Narcotic Drugs, and Money Laundering associated with these crimes. Conducted static and mobile surveillance operations at USPS/UPS/FedEx and other shipping facilities. I also conducted narcotics Investigations at Amtrak and Greyhound facilities, and I was certified by TAA with SIDA clearance for narcotics Investigations at Tucson International Airport. I also assisted in reversal and wall off operations involving confidential informants. Based on these investigations I subsequently obtained subpoenas/search warrants, conducted warrant service, prepared thorough reports, and presented cases to the County Attorney's Office and Grand Jury.

2011-2012

I completed my obligation in CNA and was assigned to the Community Problems Unit in CID.

2012-2014

I was assigned to the Robbery Assault Team. I investigated all non-Domestic related assault investigations and all robberies to include: home invasions, bank robberies, car jackings, kidnappings, and shootings. I was also assigned an Officer Involved Shooting Investigation(OIS), and subsequently presented it to the Shooting Review Board.

2014-2018

I requested assignment to the Ajo District as a Patrol Deputy. In addition to the Patrol duties mentioned above I also responded to emergency calls for aid reference heat exposure and deaths.

2018-2022

I completed my obligation in Ajo and returned to Tucson as a Patrol Deputy in the San Xavier District. During this period I again was tasked as an acting supervisor on multiple occasions.

2022-2025

Patrol Deputy in the Rincon District. During this period I again was tasked as an acting supervisor on multiple occasions.
