I am currently working as a Tier1 here at GEU3 since it has been launched, I been here for 3 months and learned so much!
First I learned about the pids where we would divert them onto lane 1 or lane 2 which outbound would tell our Process Assistance and they would tell us which box would go onto which lane.
Second I learned the a very scanner which you would scan a sticker and it would print another on and you would add it to the box and the diverter's would put them on lane 1 or lane 2.
Third I leaned TDR which I would get a walkie talkie and get directed to which dock door to close or open when it is need once we are done we do a process on a kindle and we would let the Ship Clerk know the trailers are ready.
Finally I helped run the dock meaning when my Process Assistance was gone for a period of time I stepped up and learned the process and help lead the team.
GYR1 Tier1
-I started off doing Palletizing which is where you pick up a box from the conveyor and put it by a scanner to see in which cart it would go in.
-Next I was asked if I wanted to learn something else which is called Waterspider, you get a scanner and go ahead to see which cart needed to be take to which Dock Door and the scanner will tell you the location and on top each Trailer door it had the number where to go to.
-Then I also learned one that is called Fluid Load which is where you go into a trailer and you start downstacking the boxes and putting them onto the conveyor which would head to the conveyors that head to Palletizing and get sent to a trailer door.
-Also I did Transship which is where I would scan a tote and stack it where it belongs which each one has a destination.
- Finally last but not least I learned TDR where I would do a process on a tablet and let my Process Assistance now when it was done so it can swapped out and we can get new empty trailers to load them with the Go KARTS.
-I did packing flow which I had directions on a screen like a tv/tablet where it would tell me what items it needed, how many items it had, gave me options to put which items were missing, the size of the box it needed and added a SPoo red sticker and send it out to outbound.
-While packing singles I would grab a tote and I would scan the side and it would show me how many items it had and it would tell me exactly everything I needed.
I've accomplished so much at amazon and just hope to keep learning more. Also am looking forward to getting my GED soon so excited for the next accomplishment!
