I have been taking part in BP’s large project Shah Deniz 2 construction as Performing Authority. I was responsible for the radiography activities to test welding joints being carried out under the permit.

Responsibilities included but not limited to:

• Control of safety work of radiography crew during the worktime
• Work together with Area Authority and HSE representative to reduce risks and hazards
• To prepare Permit to Work and determine hazards and control measures
• Participate in Risk Assessment Level 2 if required
• To stop work and reassess if any hazard identified
• To have a toolbox to all personnel who enters the working area
• To check availability of all equipment and tools
• Hand over the job and work place in safe condition to the next shift.
