WHO/Europe regional meeting on fit-for-purpose hospitals

• This high-level regional meeting, co-hosted by WHO/Europe and the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan, was organized and hosted by the WHO Azerbaijan Country Office in Baku. Under the theme 'Fit-for-purpose hospitals: prioritizing quality and sustainability to meet the demands of modern healthcare,' the event convened participants from around 50 countries across the WHO European Region, including policy-makers, hospital leaders, and international partners.

Risk Communication and Community Engagement

• This two-day training, jointly organized by the WHO Azerbaijan Country Office and TABIB, aimed to strengthen the national capacity of health authorities, government partners, international organizations, and NGOs in the areas of risk communication and community engagement (RCCE).

COP29 - Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change

• COP29 is the annual United Nations climate summit that convenes global leaders, negotiators, UN agencies, civil society, and stakeholders from over 190 countries to advance international climate commitments under the Paris Agreement.

Azerbaijan Pandemic Response (APR)

• The Azerbaijan Pandemic Response (APR) project was implemented by the WHO Azerbaijan Country Office to support the Government of Azerbaijan's efforts in mitigating the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The project aimed to strengthen national public health capacity through coordination, technical assistance, and rapid response mechanisms. Key areas included infection prevention and control (IPC), risk communication, health system preparedness, and vaccination support.

Absheron Full Field Development Project Phase 1

• This project delivered the comprehensive geophysical and geotechnical site investigations essential for the Absheron FFD infrastructure planning. By executing seismic surveys and technical subsurface assessments, the project established a critical data foundation for engineering design and risk mitigation, ensuring all operations met rigorous international safety and quality standards.
