I have been working at Macys for a year and two months and have learned many things in the Active Mezz Department. I have always been eager to learn new roles to better my skills and to help my department meet its Goals. I have learned many things in active that helped me better understand what we need to do to accomplish our objective for the weekend. The Wave Desk played an essential role in teaching me how to overcome challenges, communicate better, and do everything possible to reach our inbound and outbound goals. Knowing these skills, I know what is expected in the department to be able to lead a floor.

My department is Active Mezz, and the central role is to Pick and Replen items. I have done many additional roles in my department, for example: I trained at the end of the pick season, I’ve done Exceptions, Case Chasing, an inbound line pointer, and the most recent role I’ve learned is Wave Desk, which I have been doing for almost six months now. I have also trained two colleagues in Wave Desk.
