  • Work field Knowledge

Cold Duration for electrical

  • MV(median voltage cables)- testing procedure- shield continuity with 1550 insulation tester, VLF(Very Low Frequency) runs by breaking them into section understanding graph set points to insure passing ratings

MV Terms- proper lint free towels, denaturant alcohol, spray bottles, stripping tools, Torque wrench, Standard socket set, T-body, dead end,

  • DC(Direct current)Terms

Testing establish cables that are ran under/above ground is in functional order to hold voltages/amps under any weather conditions Tools used Fluke 1507-1000v rating also run a continuity tester

DC terms- very simple, having the correct tools(wire stripper, measuring tape, compression lug, gator crumping lug, cable cutter(cordless) Markers

  • Scada

consist of fiber, ethernet cables, power, communication, ciscos, ATI,Nextracker scu screens Met stations, hail senors, TBOM, POA,Albedometer, Inverter need to get readiness picture for ATI/nextracker

  • String Wire Management

Understanding drops per circuit, used of type of module(first solar, Elan series, etc) standard cable size 1500v rated, fuses install, cable management service loops, zip-tie, willies, module plug ins,

  • Cold Commissioning

VOC(voltage open current)- testing the rating/voltage per circuit/string drop to see module optimized performance/issues Tool used-DCM multi meter rated 1500v

Polarity testing- insure that the above/underground DC cable operating properly there no voltage drop, testing from P/N, G/P, G/N,

Skid inspections- all warning label put in place( MV doors,DC doors, communication cabinet, LOTO locks are put in place(when needed) MV runs are labeled including DC LBDs, all lugs Torqued marked, no bolts are loose, Fuses installed correctly per schedule request includes mapping

Cold commissioning- will have contractor to service sungrow/Temic INV,corrected ip addresses, gateway, any software updates, correct fuses been installed, Nextracker/ATI with programming and setting parameters, spc/ moter issues or building there stations

  • Hot Commissioning

Energize PV Field- will need backfeed procedure approve by HV team, soak Mv cables for 24hr hours at substations/Field MV, understanding the step provide from HV team

AC power- can be turned after the 24hr soak, getting voltages inside the low voltage side/ phase rotation,

IV curve tracer- performance on modules that as soiling and then cleaned etc
