Meat/ Produce Associate
I was an associate in the meat department. My role was to sort meat products on the shelves by pork, beef, chicken, smoked meat, ground beef, and seafood. I was also needed to label the meat with use by dates as well as stock the shelves with meat in its appropriate spot.While stocking the meat I would sort the newer meat to the bottom and older meat to the top. If meat was close to use by date I would reduce the price and put new labels as needed. I would also work in the produce department when needed. In produce I would pull the produce off of pallets and load it onto a cart to stock the shelves and displays.p I would scan the fruit and make sure the price on the distribution app matched the sales floor price.r If price did not match I would fix the price move on to the next fruit or vegetable. I worked in a fast paced environment as well as complete my job while helping customers with other needs. Often times I would have to stop what I was doing to help show customers where other products are in other departments.h I also worked with customers by helping them find the appropriate item they were searching for. If there wasn't an appropriate item then I would help find an appropriate substitute. Customers would have me help them lift heavy items as well as find the appropriate help they were seeking.
