Ryan Alikhani

As a dedicated member of the Orange County Fire Authority Fire Cadet Program for over five years, I gained extensive hands-on experience in fire service operations and public safety education. Through numerous ride-alongs, I was exposed to a wide range of emergency calls, learning firsthand the day-to-day responsibilities and lifestyle of a firefighter.

My involvement extended beyond emergency response exposure, participating in a variety of community engagement events such as the Annual Open House at OCFA Headquarters, National Night Out events every October, and Bike Rodeos in Rancho Santa Margarita. At these events, I educated the public on fire safety, helmet use, and the risks associated with electric bike batteries.

I also contributed to wildfire preparedness initiatives, such as demonstrating fire extinguisher use during a public safety meeting at Rancho Santa Margarita City Hall, following a city council session focused on wildfire protection.

In addition to public outreach, I consistently attended weekly trainings to refine my firefighting knowledge and skills. Over time, I took on a leadership role mentoring newer cadets and helping them succeed in the program, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.

My time in the Cadet Program solidified my passion for the fire service and strengthened my commitment to serving the community through emergency preparedness, education, and leadership.

• Assisted in food preparation and assembly, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

• Maintained cleanliness of workstations and dining areas, promoting a safe environment for customers and staff.
• Operated kitchen equipment safely, following operational protocols to prevent accidents.
• Worked front counter, drive-thru and other areas.

• Trained new team members on procedures, customer service, and sales techniques.

• Enforced fraternity risk management policies to ensure member safety and compliance with university and national organization standards
• Coordinated with campus officials and local authorities to plan and monitor safe social and chapter events
• Conducted regular risk assessments and safety briefings for members and new initiates
• Managed incident reporting, documentation, and follow-up procedures when safety issues arose
• Promoted a culture of responsibility, accountability, and harm prevention within the chapter
