Samantha Westerling

Through my long term position at Margos Pet Spa I feel I have mastered many skills as a dog groomer, but more importantly I feel I have learned the importance of loyalty and consistency, as well as how to work in a high stress environment while maintaining a positive attitude and strong relationships with the people around me, as well as the customers I interact with on a daily basis. In a fast paced, high stress work environment it is very important to maintain a positive attitude and attention to self care outside of the workplace as well as during the work day, and I believe that in my time at Margos Pet Spa I have mastered those abilities and bring them into all other areas of life as well.

Through serving in CCVs kids ministry I feel that I have mastered my ability to connect with people and meet them where they are. I am extremely passionate about engaging with  people and getting to know them on a deeper level, while also connecting with them in ways that make sense to them. This is something I believe is especially important when working with children because in order to get through to them and impact them you have to learn to connect in ways they understand. Being able to help guide and be a part of encouraging someone’s walk with Jesus Is the most rewarding thing, and through serving I have gotten to experience that in such an amazing way.
