Dynamic General Foreman with proven expertise in team leadership, safety compliance, natural gas and petroleum pipelines, and job site management. Excels in coordinating tasks and implementing effective emergency response strategies to enhance project productivity. Big willingness to travel to accomplish whatever objectives need to be done. Very big on camaraderie and teamwork. I am no more important than the person next to me.
My duties here were essentially to run/oversee all of our Coconino County projects for APS, the power company. Anything from transformers, switching cabinets, power poles, underground primary and secondary replacements, upgrades, abandonments, etc. I also handled the pre-cons, blue staking, meetings, material transport, job planning, upholding safety standards, and any new hires that needed to be placed or trained, etc. I lived out of town every week to ensure that my division ran smoothly. I was the most productive out of our divisions. I ended up leaving this place due to a labor dispute.
My duties here were to operate a CAT 980M loader. I essentially used a loader to keep the aggregate hoppers fed so that the hot plant could run efficiently, and loaded out the truck as necessary. I also performed routine maintenance and inspections on. This job also required hot plant maintenance when needed.
My duties here were to travel to Alaska for 28/14 hitches. I helped set up the drill for new shots, helped move the drill to different locations, tripped the pipe in and out, changed bits according to rock type, emptied out and set up new tubes with overshots, measured and organized core, offloaded core at the Geo shack, added drill mud, etc. Unfortunately, the drilling company and the mine were having some political issues, so this job ended.
My duties here were to install, abandon, replace, maintain, relocate, etc. Natural gas pipelines include main and service distribution lines, high-pressure supply and transmission lines, compressor stations, injection stations, regulator stations, etc. From the mountains to underwater. I was also a BOA welder and an ERF "Emergency Response Fitter," and I responded to any line breaks or gas leaks at any given moment. I also stepped in to help run any bigger jobs. Unfortunately, due to pipeline shutdowns, I lost my career.
My duties here were to operate various machines to dig, grade, backfill, compact, and install water, sewer, and storm drains on development plats. This job ended because I left for the union.
I started this job as a laborer, moved my way up to an operator, then to a fitter/Master Joiner for South West Gas, and then to a Foreman. My first year and a half was in Bullhead City, where I got my first experience in the natural gas industry. I gained an amazing camaraderie with everybody and learned all I possibly could so that I could move up in the industry. Then I got shipped to Tahoe, where I became a service crew foreman and a lead fitter on the mainline side. I left this to try to get into the pipeline union in Washington State.
