Responsible for the safety of the unit they are assigned to, including identifying environmental and patient specific safety concerns, and elevating those concerns to the RN, RN Supervisor, Operation Supervisor, or designee as needed. Monitored, tracked, and conveyed important patient information to healthcare staff to help optimize treatment planning and care delivery. Supported patient admissions, discharges, and transfers to promote team productivity.

10 weeks of basic combat training which included; obstacle courses; weapons training; combative techniques; and daily physical training. 11 weeks of advanced individual training which included; hazardous materials certification; chemical and nuclear defense training; radiology courses; and daily physical training.

Worked in the CT (Computed Tomography) department of the hospital. Assisted the technologist with patient care and transportation. Often helped with film processing, and used computer software such as Epic, Pacs imaging software, and medical records. Communicated with nurses, doctors, and radiologist about medical history questions in regards to the patient in order to make sure the best images were obtained for an accurate diagnosis for the patient.

Screened prospective donors by conducting interviews, obtaining medical histories, and measuring vital signs. Counseled patients to ease fears, explain procedures and enhance cooperation during blood draws. Obtained variety of blood samples through venipuncture or capillary puncture using syringes, butterfly needles, and straight needles. Prepared blood-collecting equipment to draw blood and safely store and transport samples.
