Maliyah Cartwright

I am an Emergency Department Technician at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center with experiences of 8 years. I work with all different age groups of patients from adults to pediatric. I am highly motivated and passionate about learning new skills that has been able to make me become a stronger Patient Care Technician over the years. Working in such a fast pace department, I have been able to learn how to handle multiple tasks and do critical care in a timely matter. I enjoy learning each patient medical emergency that are presented not only in the emergency room but responding to codes on the floor. Assisting physicians with orders and phone calls as the unit secretary. Assisting my team with vitals signs, 12-EKG Leads, airway support, CPR, and splinting with the department. I hope one day that I am able to become a trauma surgeon or an emergency department doctor.
