• Support the Site Manager in the day-to-day prioritization and delivery of work by site-based team
• Identify SIMOPs activities and associated risk mitigations
• Triage engineering issues, maintaining a close dialogue with the OPS team and request support from Engineering teams as required
• Support both the eMOC and EQ process and help both the Facility Support squad Lead and Engineering manager to manage prioritization of required engineering resources
• Lead/support all process safety related incidents on site and work with the relevant discipline engineers to determine the root cause, identify lessons learnt and share with site
• Support the risk management process for ORA/SORA/MOC including development and implementation of risk action plans and monitoring requirements
• Attend production efficiency and reliability/vulnerability meeting where production risks and vulnerabilities are discussed
• Provide engineering input and guidance into the CoW procedure
• Attend Integrity Management/ Anomaly Assessment and Tracking Meeting to review the status of all anomalies raised and decide the correction plan
• Attend and provide the site team input into the Process Safety Barrier Health Review Meeting
• Manage Production team daily activities
• Ensure safe, efficient and reliable operations achieved from production team according to BP HSE standards
• Uphold GOO Operating Discipline by following 3F rules(Follow the rules, Finish what you start and Follow-up)
• Manage OPS team activities according to 5 BP Leadership Principles
• Attend daily validation meetings
• Attend daily SIMOPs (simultaneous operations) meeting with Platform Management
• Support the Site Engineer in the day to day prioritization and delivery of work by site-based team
• Provide support to defect investigations including performing 5 WHYs at site, preserving evidence and assigning action to site team
• Provide as engineering review of site over-rides and inhibits, ensuring that the alarm management process is implemented correctly and robustly at site
• Conduct weekly self verification against process overrides, locked valve register, alarms, SOL/SDL and operational risks and validate lessons learned
• Attend the Process Safety Integrity Management meeting where process safety related incidents discussed
• Provide day to day monitoring of Platform systems including wells, separators, pumps, compressors, utility systems etc.
• Confirm that all the operating parameters are within the Safe Operating Envelope without any excursions outside of the Design Limits
• Monitor, record and trend readings from the plant control system(ICSS)
• Operate the plant in a safe and efficient manner, following all plant procedures(SOPs), HSSE requirements and operating practices
• Generate and review maintenance orders and maintenance notifications(SAP) for execution of equipment repairs
• Assist production and maintenance personnel in performance of maintenance activities
• Work with Base Management, OPS and and Engineering teams to identify and implement production improvement opportunities
In addition to production technician roles and responsibilities the following duties have been added:
• Support Production Team Leader in the day to day prioritization and delivery of work by site-based team
• Manage the rotation of personnel
• Drive and lead the multicultural team
• Provide coaching and mentoring to the production team newcomers for familiarization with plant systems and processes
• Day to day management of operational priorities, maintaining integrity of the facilities
• Deliver safe, compliant, reliable operations ensuring that BP HSSE and Operating Discipline expectations are met
• Optimize plant and equipment performance
• Review work procedures to ensure procedure accuracy and efficiency are met
• Provide operational input to OPS planning, project and TAR teams as well as supporting vendors and visitors
• Maintain an awareness of the site major risks and ongoing operational risks and inform site leadership of any emergent risks
• Deliver full conformance with all Control of Work (CoW) requirements for the role (e.g. prepare and implement isolations, perform monitoring, integrity and pre-start-up checks, process line-ups, reinstatement after maintenance, leak tests etc.)
• Competent PA with the relevant certificate and active role in the eCoW system
• Competent IsA with the relevant certificate and active role in the eCoW system
• Competent Leak Testing Authority with the relevant certificate and active role in the eCoW system
• Competent Issuing Authority with the relevant certificate and active role in the eCoW system
• Participate within the Emergency Response Team upon request
• Active CI champion and CI coach on the platform
• Acquaintance with East Azeri platform and the East Azeri wells
• Start-up of EA new production and water injection wells
• Preparation for the intervention of the EA wells
• Monthly allocation of the Platform wells and calculation of the wells' rates
• Changing from 2 phase to 3 phase separation and start-up of Produced water system on the Platform
• Support, safe shutdown and subsequent start-up of the EA wells following the outage
